NI100 Commemorative Memento

We are glad to see local Councils marking the Centenary of Northern Ireland and we will be working with them and hope that our lodges and bands will avail of funding from their local Councils and others to help support Centenary Projects. The Institution will be hosting a Virtual planning and information day to help lodges, bands and other community groups who would like to work with us to Mark this Centenary of our Country. We will offer funding support and advice, help with marketing and promotion of events as well as developing our calendar of events in line with others in our community and at a national level.

One innovative Council project is being run by Mid and East Antrim Council for babies born in this Centenary Year. So if any of you are expecting of knows someone who is then they can apply. At the other end of the age spectrum the initiative is also for Centenarians whose birth year was 1921.

Babies born in 2021 and Centenaries, who are residents of Mid and East Antrim Borough can apply for special commemorative certificates and coins in honour of Council’s Northern Ireland Centennial Celebrations.

We would encourage parents of 2021 babies and families of Centenarians to apply on their behalf.
