A peaceful parade of lodges and bands from Lisnagaver and Granagh from the Independent Order and Rasharkin, Drumcon and Ballymaconnelly from No 5 district took place through the village on the 12th evening. The parade was well received by a sizeable crowd of onlookers who warmly applauded the brethern.
The parade left the Finvoy road and paraded to the Turnpike where the Drumcon and Ballymaconnelly brethern joined their buses to continue their journey home. The two Independent lodges followed by the Rasharkin lodge returned down through the village, the Rasharkin lodge stopping at their hall and the Independent lodges proceeding to the end of Bridge street where the Granagh brethern turned off to continue their homeward journey and the Lisnagaver band and lodge proceeding on to their Bann road hall.
The event passed off peacefully.
